Mission R Electric Superbike

This is becoming serious. Electric motorcycle companies are starting to hit hard. Not only that they are stealing headlines from petrol-powered motorsport, with their clever electric-wizardry, but they have started to produce beautifully designed bikes as well! Mission motors is one such company, with their latest electric-superbike-racer dubbed Mission R. Powered with the state of the art electric powertrain packing 141HP and 115 ft.lbs. of torque from the moment the rider twist’s his wrist. 14.4 kWh total energy storage and overall weight of just 545lbs. Impressive! From that point on – Mission R is capable of hitting 160mph in only one gear! Power is managed by the MissionEVT 100kW motor controller, with customizable regenerative braking maps, throttle maps and more. All vehicle and ride data is accessible via WiFi or 3G connections.
Mission Motors is trying to make a statement here. They are using this bike to show of their latest technology, thus showing to general public capabilities of their technology – which the are going to apply onto the street bike and superbike range. For the 2011 Race Season, Mission raises the bar.
