Erik Buell Racing 1190 RS

In just over a week from the first spy images shown on the net, Eric Buell decided to go for the full thing. This is the latest bike from Eric Buell Racing, the EBR 1190RS Carbon Edition. Images surfaced just as the bike was prepared to go on the van for Indy Dealer Expo in Indianopolis, where this “American superbike” will be shown to the public for the first time.

Once you look at the dates you realize quickly that one year have passed from the moment that Harley Davidson closed Buell, and therefore the contractual term has expired saying that Eric can’t produce road bikes in that period. That is as well the main reason why in 2010 Eric Buell focused only on some special racing bikes including 1125R, 1125RR and 1190RR. We believe that this bike will be based on 1190RR, so even without official numbers released yet, 185HP is expected with the dry weight of just 164kg! Certainly these numbers that can embarrass even the biggest names (Ducati, Suzuki, KTM …). 44th edition of Indianopolis Indy Dealer Expo will be the place where Eric would try to create a new distribution network for it’s models.
