Yamaha M1 Celebrating 50th

Celebrating 50 years of racing in the World Championship Grand Prix series, Yamaha showed off special race livery for its MotoGP squad, including the M1 race bikes of Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies. The white, red and black colours will be revealed at the next GP at Assen and Laguna Seca.
Giacomo Agostini, Kenny Roberts (YZR500), Norick Abe (Yamaha R7) and Haga had these colors. Jorge Lorenzo added: “I love these colors and they are very important in motorcycling history. With Agostini, and many others being on a similar scheme and the opportunity to use an M1 is a really an honor. It ‘a very special year for Yamaha and we hope that these colors bring us luck ” . Ben is also enthusiastic: “It’s nice to run with these colors. It ‘s a great year for Yamaha. Also in the home race to wear this livery is fantastic. I think it’s beautiful and I hope to be worthy to ride. ” To be honest, we would like to see it as official livery for the rest of the season!
Complementing the new hues, which are actually inspired by Yamaha Factory Racing liveries of the past, will be red and white suits for the riders. Continue to see the full gallery.
